Rainy Days
Rainy Days
So the last few days here have been a some what wet affair, with persistent rain over the past week. Fair weather bikers have put there pajama's under lock and key and have retreated to their air conditioned towers to wipe the dust from their shoes. For the rest of us (apart from me, out with a bum knee!) have put on the extra latex and played in the mud.

Voltage FR... well used!

So the bikes have had their first stern test in the greasy conditions of a wet Whistler spring, the continental Der Kaiser tyres preforming brilliantly in all conditions so far we have not had to shod the wheels with the Rain kings yet and hoping that the clearing weather means we won't have to. Although cleaning the bikes has become a daily event to avoid carrying extra pounds of hummus up the park.

The forecasters tell us that this system is clearing and that the rain will move on and that sunshine will return, however depressing the rain might be here it is a cause for celebration, a cause for weighted patience and an adventurous mind, for slipping, for sliding to generally having as much fun as a three year old in wellies and a puddle! When the sun shine's again we will have the amazing pleasure of shredding some of the best dirt in the world in the best conditions in the best place in the world. So put down your cup of tea and your pecan pie and get out an ride! (Jamie/Cup of tea/Pecan pie below with the sun shining outside!!)

Gratuitous dirty sponsor shot!
