The Manc Boys
Colin and Ian, stereo Manc!
As it is the start of the season for us here at Bear Back we begun it in anticipation (or trepidation, i'm not sure!) for the return of the ever faithful, dedicated, verbose and highly cultured Manchester twins Colin and Ian. These two lads have been with us many times before and have become a regular feature here at the chalet. We welcomed them back with open arms and cotton wool in our ears (ha!) and so began two weeks of riding, laughing and generally saying pardon alot.
The guys who like to dabble in both aspects of riding, DH and XC started with a few hits of the bike park on the first day in dry and dusty conditions. The rest of the week was a mixture of XC and bike park with a few coaching lessons in cornering to help them progress further, over the past few seasons we have been able to watch these guys get better and better every passing year and it is a pleasure to be able to help them along the way.

The next week the lads had another week of exploring new trails, revisiting old favourites , even conquering a few old nemesis along the way! A big thanks to the guys as well for helping us out on a trail building day on 'Cut y'er Bars' they were of a huge help and have left a little bit of a mark on the Whistler landscape (aside from a few confused subway employee's)

So after two weeks we had to say good bye to the twins and thank them for another memorable stay. In the time they stayed these guys managed to rack up more than thirty runs in the bike park each (that's 30,000 ft of vertical descent) and over 400km's of trails! Not bad for two weeks! So let's see if they can break that record when they come back for three weeks in September. O.k. so thanks again guys and to anybody else reading you should have a fair idea of what you can achieve with us in this wonderful place.
