Whistler Coaching and Hiring Course

For early season 2013, Bear Back Biking are again proud to be working with Whistler Bike Park to provide a residential instructor training course with focus on becoming a Bike Park instructor and mountain bike guide.

We are excited to be able to offer the ONLY course where participants will be offered a job by WBP (assuming you can satisfy the minimum requirements)

Course dates are May 14 - June 4th 2013 (tbc)

Want to get trained as a Mountain bike guide and spend the summer working in Whistler? This hiring clinic course is a premier, complete and intensive 3 weeks that will develop you into a mountain bike guide/coach, with a job at the end of it!

 

Want to work as a downhill guide? We have partnered with Whistler Blackcomb Bike Park School to develop and train guides/coaches for the upcoming season in Whistler. The course will start very early in the summer season before things get busy and the tourist start arriving. This gives us the window to train you to be locked and loaded with the know-how needed to guide this season. The course will be a priority hiring course for WB and provide the majority of new-hire guides for the mountain.

You’ll be trained in every aspect needed to be a strong and confident guide for Whistler Blackcomb. This is also a premier training course and the skills and training you’ll gain can be taken to employees all over the world.

Our coaches know WB like the back of their hand, and will show you what it takes to guide any clients in any situation here. They are highly qualified and experienced coaches, and know the technical side of downhill biking and the Whistler Bike Park inside-out.  They also have exclusive access to terrain on the mountain where the public is not allowed.

 

Course participants who successfully complete and pass the IDP level 1 and level 2 criteria WILL be hired as first year FULL TIME guides. No other job postings will take place for full time guides for the 2013 season.
