Whistler Blackcomb are offering a number of camps over the season for all levels and types of rider.

Learn to ride the steepest lines, drop the biggest air and survive the wildest trails with the pioneers of freeriding. Coached by Richie Schley and other freeriding celebrities.

Coached by Richie Schley and other freeriding stars, this camp will truly inspire you. Whether you're an experienced huckster wanting to hone your skills or new to the freeriding scene, we'll help you take your riding to the next level. Guest coaches include Wade Simmons and Robbie Bourdon.

2-Day camps can include bike fit, skills sessions, après, prizes and a 2-day lift & bike park pass.

The DFX Youth Freeride Club is designed for riders interested in competition. Coaching will focus on developing downhill, fourcross and freeride skills. With professional coaching, youth have the potential to become lethal weapons on the professional mountain bike circuit.

Established in 1996, Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camps have encouraged over 1000 women of all ability levels to overcome fears and achieve their mountain biking goals in a fun, relaxed environment. The first of its kind in Canada, Spokeswomen Camps offer tailored instruction to all levels of riders, from beginners seeking solid skills and technique, to advanced freeriders wanting more. Camps cover the entire spectrum of riding from bike fit and maintenance to your choice of skills for basic cross-country riding, DH, freeriding and jumping. Spokeswomen Camps are limited to 30 participants per camp. Cycling groups of six riders per instructor are generally maintained. Groups are determined by riding ability - no rider is kept back or placed out of their element. Participants have the flexibility to switch groups throughout the weekend so that every individual gets the dedicated instruction and results riders have come to expect from Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camps.

Spokeswomen instructors are certified through the Canadian Mountain Bike Instructor Certification Program and boast years of experience as coaches and elite athletes. Renowned Spokeswomen instructors include:

• Sally Carmichael , Spokeswomen Director and former professional cross country competitor.
• Daamiann Skelton , former World Cup Downhill competitor and extreme freerider. Daamiann is a Director of the Canadian Mountain Bike Instructors Certification program and trains instructors from across the country.
• Diana Kilby , former Team Canada cross country competitor and instructor extraordinaire on Vancouver's North Shore Mountains.
• Anne Kennedy , a year-round professional instructor, mountain bike addict and long time Spokeswomen instructor. Famous for her laugh and smile on the trails, Anne's passion for riding is contagious.
• Elladee Brown a former World Cup Downhill and Dual Slalom competitor and former coach of the Canadian National DH Team. Elladee also co-hosted and appeared in the instructional video "West Coast Style Mountain Biking' and was featured in Kranked II and III and Dirt Divas.
• Joan Jones , a former elite cross-country and downhill competitor, the founder of the West Coast School of Mountain Biking, a certified NCCP Cycling coach and 2002 Norco Factory Team rider. Joan is also a Director of the Canadian Mountain Bike Instructors Certification program.
• Lisa Dickson , former Top 10 Pro Cross-Country racer, averages almost 700 hours on her bike in a season and loves it.

Small learning groups of 6 riders to 1 instructor offer intense attention and continual feedback, taking your riding to the next level.

3-day camps begin with our private bike seminar Friday evening (6:30pm) at the Garbanzo Bike & Bean (across from the Village Gondola). Bikes are tuned by professional bike techs, general maintenance is reviewed and riders complete a quick questionnaire to assist instructors with group development for the next day. Also, last minute shopping with special Spokeswomen discounts at the Garbanzo Bike & Bean is a highlight! Weekend mornings are spent developing technical skills through instruction and drills, while afternoons are spent riding to apply new knowledge on the Whistler Bike Park trails or on trails throughout the Whistler valley.
