B.C. is a fantastic place to spend some time.
What better way than to make the most of your riding experience than to spend a few days in downtown Vancouver.
Either use it to acclimatize yourselves to the Canadian lifestyle, or use it to wind down at the end of a thoroughly rewarding week in the saddle!
You can choose how many nights you spend in the city, simply add the days onto the start or end of the Sat-Sat week in Whistler.

We appreciate that Whistler is a long way to travel for some of you and biking might not be your only interest. So here are a few suggestions if you want to combine the riding with a full Canadian experience.
Vancouver is consistently voted ' BEST CITY TO LIVE IN THE WORLD. '
From almost anywhere in the city you can look up and see BC's coastal mountains between the striking cityscape. Highlights include whale watching, grizzly bears up on Grouse Mountain and the funky friendly atmosphere anywhere you go.
Victoria and Vancouver Island is a short breathtaking ferry ride from Vancouver . The island itself is close to the size of England and home to all varieties of Canada 's wildlife from Bald Eagle to Orca. The fascinating vast temperate rainforest - home to the Starwars Ewok and rugged coastline truly make the island an awe inspiring part of the world.
The Rockies are a days drive inland and the scenic drive brings you from coast, to mountains, to desert to the ice fields in the aggressive Rocky mountain range.
Vancouver is a dynamic, multicultural city set in a spectacular natural environment. No matter what time of the year you visit, there are indoor and outdoor activities to please adults, families, couples and friends to no end.
As the proud host of the 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games, Vancouver looks ahead to ongoing growth and great success in tourism, hospitality and business services each year. - http://www.tourismvancouver.ca/

The idea of the Extended experience is simply a way of adding time onto your Whistler based vacation. It doesn't matter which accommodation or holiday package you choose or how long you spend in Whistler, its merely a suggestion in order to maximise your time in BC!
If you are coming to Whistler on one of our holiday packages, we still pick you up from Vancouver and bring you up to Whistler for the start of your riding week and take you back at the end. But It depends when you want to experience the city as to where you get collected from.
You still get yourselves to
Vancouver airport and if you are starting with a week up in Whistler, we bring you, your luggage and your bike up to Whistler. We then take you down to the hotel in Vancouver for your wind down tourist session. A taxi to take you from Downtown Vancouver to the airport costs approx £15.
If you are starting with a short stay in the Century Plaza or the Samesun hostel, we pick you up from there when you are ready to start your weeks riding and we return you to the airport at the end of your riding week.
