Kenda have been in the bicycle tyre industry for years and with the addition of John Tomac's Signature series, their bicycle line won accolades and respect throughout the bike world.
Since the introduction of the Cortez and Nevegal tires Kenda have been pushing the brand hard and added a number of other pro rider signature series tires to their line-up.
Signature series tires from:
Eric Carter - Tinker Juarez - Hanys Rey - Brian Lopes
We've been running on the trusted Nevegal 2.5 stick-E's for DH duty and a mix of rubber between our AM guide and XC race bikes. Guiding tires on the long travel Scott Ransom has been with Hans Rey's Telonix tire in 2.2" DTC. The tire has a huge amount of traction and cornering bite. For longer rides the Tinker Juarez Dred Tread 2.1" DTC has been on the back to keep the rolling resistance down and rotational speed up.
The Dred Tread has been up used at various times on the XC race Sparks, front and rear or even front with the super fast rolling Small Block 8 out back.
John Tomac's newest tire the Small Block 8 is a truely remarkable piece of kit. stunningly fast through all terains that Whistler's races have thrown at it with infinitely more grip than youd expect from looking at the tiny Nevegal style nobs that adorn the casing - even in this seasons wet races!.
Kenda have hit the nail on the head with this puppy and it the race tire of choice from now on!
